Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) is the national news agency of Bangladesh. It was founded by Bangladesh Government on 1st January 1972. This is the biggest news agency in Bangladesh. The main task of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha is to collect news from different sources regarding local, national and international issues and events and deliver those news to government offices and print & electronic media. The main head office of BSS is situated in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It also has offices in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Bagura, Rangpur, Khulna, Rangamati and Barishal. Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha has its correspondents all the districts of Bangladesh. Its users are prime international news agencies like AFP, PTI, APP, Xinhua, Bernama and TransData.
